Stampin' Up! Bike Ride Card

Hello Peaches! I had a super fun, fantastic family weekend! We actually participated in our city's annual Wacky Dash mud run. It's a lot of fun, well, not the muddy mess part for me particularly, but my daughter and hubby don't seem to mind. There are army crawls, rope climbs, blow-ups, mud pits, climbing areas, and all sorts of other fun obstacles all along the run. When you get to the end there's a whole section filled with bubbles and foam to run to (which is my daughter's favorite part) and a "car wash" style blow up to rinse off. My daughter will stay and play in the bubble part because the bubbles fill the area to where they're taller than she is, so she'll dive into them. It's so much fun and we plan to do it every year. I'll post pictures below.

Now that I've shared my very eventful weekend, I'll share today's project. Today, I'm using the Bike Ride bundle. Now this set is packed with every kind of stamp you can think of to build the perfect bike. There are baskets, flowers, banners, and even an adorable little puppy to put in your basket. I love that you can make your bike any color you like, and because the parts are all separate stamps, you can choose different colors for the handlebars, seat, wheels, etc. There are virtually limitless possibilities.

For my bicycle, I wanted a soft teal color, so I stamped the body of the bike in 2nd generation Bermuda Bay. To achieve 2nd generation stamping and get a softer color of ink, you must stamp in the ink color of your choice, the stamp off onto a scrap piece of paper, and finally stamp your image. This is what creates the lighter ink color because by stamping off once, you have stamped/removed some ink off before stamping the rest onto your project. Once I stamped my bicycle and used the dies to cut out the pieces, I was ready for the next part of my card.

For the largest banner, I watercolored some paper with Bermuda Bay and then took the sunflower stamp and stamped it repeatedly over the banner piece. Then I took some of the gorgeous black sequin trim and added it to my banners. To finish it off, I added my sentiment and a few sequins. Don't you love the background? I just used the wheel from the set and stamped my background in Powder Pink ink. I just love this color combo! Thanks so much for stopping by. See you all next post!
