Stampin' Up Artisan Blog Hop - Trimming the Town Suite/Poinsettia Place

Well, hello peaches! Welcome to the Trimming the Town/Poinsettia Place Stampin' Up! Artisan Design Team Blog Hop! Each month our very talented and creative team of designers will be bringing you inspiration, so get comfortable and have a ton of fun hopping along with us. You may have just arrived from the wonderfully talented Jan Clothier's Blog. She has made some lovely projects!
Today, the team will be showcasing projects using products from both suites so be sure to check them all out! I had the pleasure of creating projects using the Coming Home BundleThis set is so festive and has just so many possibilities for crafting all of those holiday crafts. I've even used the adorable houses to create birdhouses in previous projects! Here's a look at the set:
My first card has some really great texture added to the background. I used the So Many Snowflake Dies to create a mask to use with my Embossing Paste. To get tone on tone paste colors you can simply add Pool Party Refill Ink.
My next card was inspired by one of our past holiday Paper Pumpkin projects. I used some of the dies from the set to create rolling hills in Glimmer Paper, Balmy Blue, and Misty Moonlight. I added some All the Trimmings Ribbon behind my sentiment for some added texture. I fussy cut some tiny houses from the Trimming the Town DSP to complete my scene.
My final card again showcases a cozy little home fussy cut from that festive DSP. I created a soft watercolor background using Pool Party Ink to mimic a soft snowfall. To finish it off, I added a few tiny stars from All the Trimmings Embellishments.
This gorgeous suite was so much fun to create with and a great way to make fun, festive holiday projects for gifts, holiday cards, or parties. I hope you have enjoyed all of today's cards and designs. Keep hopping along and check out my other fellow teammates’ pages. They have some pretty amazing projects to share. #TGIFC278 Inspiration Challenge

Hey peaches and thanks for joining me for another fun TGIF challenge this week! If you're new to the TGIF Challenges, each Friday, we offer a new themed challenge for you to play along with. Be sure to check out the main blog for more details, inspiration, and the guidelines. This week's challenge is an inspiration challenge and what a fun challenge it was!

My card for this week's challenge was made using the Forever Fern Bundle. Here's my submission:
For this challenge I was inspired by the floral imagery and the color scheme. I just love adding sprigs of floral images and die cuts to my projects, and combining soft pinks to neutrals is always a classy look. I wanted a soft background so I stamped with Smokey Slate Ink onto Smokey Slate Cardstock for a subtle background effect. I wanted to continue this soft theme by adding a layer of vellum that was stamped with Versamark and embossed in Silver Embossing Powder. Here's a close-up of the effect:

The sentiment was stamped in Smokey Slate Ink onto Blushing Bride Cardstock. Here's one last look at the details of my project:

Stampin' Up Artisan Blog Hop - Peace & Joy

Well, hello peaches! Welcome to the Peace & Joy Stampin' Up! Artisan Design Team Blog Hop! Each month our very talented and creative team of designers will be bringing you inspiration, so get comfortable and have a ton of fun hopping along with us. You may have just arrived from the wonderfully talented Jan Clothier's Blog. Today, the team will be showcasing projects using the Peace & Joy Bundle, so be sure to check out all of the amazing inspiration! This set is so festive and has just so many possibilities for crafting all of those holiday crafts.  Here's a look at the set:
PEACE & JOY BUNDLE
My absolute favorite project I made was this dimensional Christmas ornament. They are prett simple to make. Here's what you need:
1. Use the Stitched Star Dies to cut out 3 stars from Balmy Blue Cardstock.
2. Emboss the stars with the Scripty 3D Embossing Folder.
3. Use the scoring blade on your Paper Trimmer to crease the center of each star and fold them in half.
4. Adhere one half of the first star to the half of the second star.
5. Then adhere the other half of the first and second stars to both halves of the third star so that your left with a 3 dimensional star.
6. You can die cut a festive word from the Joy Dies and add a few sequins for more interest. I also added some Misty Moonlight Baker's Twine to hang the ornament.
My next project uses a lot of the same element and theme-ing. I added in some deeper blue tones by stamping some floral images in Pacific Point Ink and Balmy Blue Ink. The sentiment was a combo of the two inks.
Here's a close-up of the effect:
My final card showcases the "peace" word die cut from Balmy Blue and Pacific Point Cardstock and layered on top of each other. One of the coolest aspects about this die set is all of the layering options it offers. I am easily able to create sentiments with shadowing effects.
This bundle was so much fun to create with and a great way to make fun, festive holiday projects for gifts, holiday cards, or parties. I hope you have enjoyed all of today's cards and designs. Keep hopping along and check out my other fellow teammates’ pages. They have some pretty amazing projects to share. Stampin’ Up! ADT Instagram Tip - Double Embossing

 Instagram Tip:

From #ArtisanDesignTeam member Lauren Alarid (@lalipeach):

“If you’re looking to get that textured metallic look for your projects, you can easily achieve it by doing a little something I like to call “double embossing”. It can add so much interest to any card. All you have to do is use some Embossing Paste and Stampin’ Emboss Powder to get this unique look!”

-Use your Palette Knife to spread the Embossing Paste over a mask, onto your paper. I used the Basic Pattern Decorative Masks for this project.

-Before the paste dries, sprinkle on some Silver Stampin’ Emboss Powder, and use your Heat Tool to set it. Be sure not to overheat the paste/powder, just enough to melt the silver powder.

-The result will be a fun, metallic, dimensional background!

-Add some cute details using sets like the Pampered Pets Stamp Set to finish it off.  Here’s a close up of the finished product:

#TGIFC276 Color Challenge

Hey peaches and thanks for joining me for another fun TGIF challenge this week! If you're new to the TGIF Challenges, each Friday, we offer a new themed challenge for you to play along with. Be sure to check out the main blog for more details, inspiration, and the guidelines. This week's challenge is a color challenge and what a fun challenge it was!
My card for this week's challenge was made using the Whale Done Bundle. Here's my submission:
I am a huge fan of the bright colors but struggle combining them sometimes. I have found that using them in softer tones like watercoloring, for example, helps them to look more cohesive. I used Magenta Madness, Bermuda Bay, and, Gorgeous Grape Inks to create a fun watercolor background. Then I used the Seabed Embossing Folder to create matching texture to the watercolored background.
I stamped the whale image from the Whale Done Stamp Set in Grape and used my Sponge Dauber to add some Bermuda Bay for a two-toned effect. The Whale Builder Punch made it super easy to punch out my stamped whale. I die cut some vellum seaweed using the Smooth Sailing Dies. Here's a close-up of my project:

Stampin' Up Artisan Blog Hop - Nothing's Better Than and Blossoms In Bloom

Well, hello peaches! Welcome to the Nothing's Better Than and Blossoms In Bloom Stampin' Up! Artisan Design Team Blog Hop! Each month our very talented and creative team of designers will be bringing you inspiration, so get comfortable and have a ton of fun hopping along with us. You may have just arrived from the wonderfully talented Jan Clothier's Blog. She has made some lovely projects!
Today, the team will be showcasing products using both the Nothing's Better Than and the Blossoms In Bloom Sets, so be sure to check out all of the amazing inspiration! I had the pleasure of working with the Nothing's Better Than Bundle. This set is completely adorbs and has just so many possibilities for all of those delicious indulgences.  Here's a look at the set:
NOTHING'S BETTER THAN BUNDLE
For my first project today, I created a tropical drink themed card. Cocktail time was always a time-honored tradition with my grandparents (though we kiddos got to have guava juice "cocktails" with umbrellas and cherries). They lived in Hawaii for many years, so it was practically expected to enjoy a glass of Guava juice together while they enjoyed their "adult beverages". This card was inspired by those fond memories. I used Magenta Madness Ink and Daffodil Delight Ink. To get the ombre effect you would ink only the top portion of your stamp in one color then the other half in the other color. Then you would use a Sponge Dauber to blend the two colors in the middle where they met.
Here's a close up of the details:
My next card uses the "coffee" die cut word and the same technique as the previous card on the coffee cup. I used some of the magenta patterned paper from the 2020–2022 In Color Designer Series Paper in small strips to ground my main images. I crumpled the DSP to create a distressed effect.
Here's a close-up of the effect:
My final card showcases the cookies images and die cuts from the set on Daffodil Delight Cardstock. I used a few stars from the Stitched Stars Dies to make the cookies pop. I die cut the stars from the same colored cardstock to give it more subtle texture.
This bundle was so much fun to create with and a great way to make fun, playful projects for when you just need that something that helps you through the day like coffee, chocolate, cookies, or cocktails. I hope you have enjoyed all of today's cards and designs. Keep hopping along and check out my other fellow teammates’ pages. They have some pretty amazing projects to share. #TGIFC272 - Sketch Challenge

Hey peaches and thanks for joining me for another fun TGIF challenge this week! If you're new to the TGIF Challenges, each Friday, we offer a new themed challenge for you to play along with. Be sure to check out the main blog for more details, inspiration, and the guidelines. This week's challenge is a sketch challenge and what a challenge it was!
My card for this week's challenge was made using the Whale Done Bundle. Here's my submission:
I have really been enjoying the entire whale sweet and it's been my favorite since I first saw it, so I knew I wanted to use it for this challenge. I used some of the Whale of a Time DSP and die cut it using the Stitched Nested Labels Dies. The DSP is also where I got the whale on my project from. It's super easy to cut him out too as the DSP is designed to coordinate with the Whale Builder Punch.
The seaweed is from the Smooth Sailing Dies. To get the multi-colored look, I just used some Stamping Sponges to ink blend on some Granny Apple Green and Bermuda Bay Ink.  Here's a close-up of my project:
