Stampin’ Up! Let It Ride - Sneak Peek Birthday Card

Hey peaches! January is sneaking up fast and on January 3rd the new Occasions Catalog will go live, so I wanted to share a little taste of what’s coming! Today’s card features the brand new Let It Ride Stamp Set. Ever since the first moment I saw this set I knew I needed to turn that horse into a unicorn. Unicorn stuff is so popular and I have lots of little girls in my life that LOVE unicorns so this was a no brainer for me.

This card itself came together pretty quickly. The only tricky part is adding the horn to the horse image. The Stamparatus will be your best friend for this technique. Here's how:

  1. First place your cardstock in the Stamparatus and place your stamp where you want it to stamp on your paper.
  2. Next close the lid of the Stamparatus so that it picks up the stamp.
  3. Then trace the shape of a horn for your unicorn onto sticky note type paper. If your not sure of the size you can stamp the horse on the sticky note paper and sketch the horn and then cut it out.
  4. take the cut out horn and place it where you like it on the stamp. Because it is sticky it will stick to the stamp while you ink it up.
  5. After inking your stamp in Black Ink, REMOVE the sticky note horn and stamp your image. If the image didn't stamp dark enough, just repeat step 4 for a darker image.
  6. now you will have a blank spot where the horn can be drawn in with black marker, and now you have your own personalized unicorn!

After I created my unicorn, I fussy cut it own and added some glitter with my Wink Of Stella Pen. I created my watercolor background using Blueberry Bushel Ink and Gorgeous Grape Ink with my Aqua Painter. I added a few sequins and that finished off my card! Thanks so much for stopping by and I'll see you next post!

Stampin' Up! Signs of Santa - Christmas Lunchbox Notes

Hey peaches! For the sake of my sanity and in order to maintain some family time, I was only able to get a few lunchbox notes done this weekend, so I wanted to share those with you. I thought they were just so cute and who doesn't appreciate a little tiny handmade love, right?

All of these sweet little cards feature the Signs of Santa Stamp Set and coordinating Santa's Workshop Specialty DSP. I used the coordinating dies to cut some of the shapes directly from the DSP. I love that SU is so genius that they made the DSP coordinate this way. Unfortunately, both the coordinating dies and DSP are no longer available for purchase, but if you don't have the dies, you can easily stamp the images cut them out.

I hope that you have enjoyed these sweet little notes! Thanks so much for stopping by and I'll see you next post!

Frosted Floral - Stampin' Up Artisan Blog Hop

Frosted Floral

Well, hello peaches! Welcome to the Broadway Birthday Stampin' Up! Artisan Design Team Blog Hop! Each month our very talented and creative team of designers will be bringing you inspiration, so get comfortable and have a ton of fun hopping along with us. You may have just arrived from the wonderfully talented Kim McGillis' Blog. I just adore her style!

Today, I will be showcasing the First Frost Stamp Set and Frosted Bouquet Framelits Dies from the Frosted Floral Suite of products. This suite has some lovely wintry florals and gorgeous frosted greenery, but even if you're not into florals, you'll fall in love with this stunning suite. Here's a closer look at the bundle.

First Frost Clear-Mount Bundle

For today's projects, I created a matching card set. For my first card, I began by embossing my main panel with the Lovely Floral Dynamic Textured Impressions Embossing Folder. I stamped a few floral images in Berry Burst Ink and Tranquil Tide Ink and layered them on my panel. I added my sentiment and a few pearls to the background.

For my next card I began with Tranquil Tide Cardstock for my first panel and embossed it using the Subtle Textured Dynamic Embossing Folder. I mounted the sentiment onto the Frosted Floral Designer Series Paper (DSP). I colored and added a few Clear Epoxy Droplets to my background. Coloring your epoxy elements is super easy and will allow you to customize your embellishments to suit your needs. Here's how you do it:

  1. Take your Epoxy Droplets (keep them on the acetate sheet).
  2. Choose a color Stampin' Blend Marker (I choose Dark Rich Razzelberry).
  3. Color your droplets and allow them to dry before applying them.
I just love the shine they add!

For my final card I began with Powder Pink Cardstock for my first panel and used one of the floral stamps to stamp my background in Powder Pink Ink. I added some more of the floral DSP and layered on a few more floral elements. To finish off this card, I added a little Silver Metallic Thread as well as a few Rhinestone Basic Jewels.

Here's a close-up of my cards:

This suite of products was so fun and inspiring! I hope you have enjoyed all of today's cards and designs (full list of supplies below). Keep hopping along and check out my other fellow teammates’ pages.
