#TGIFC316 Sketch Challenge

 

Hey peaches and thanks for joining me for another fun TGIF challenge this week! If you're new to the TGIF Challenges, each Friday, we offer a new themed challenge for you to play along with. Be sure to check out the main blog for more details, inspiration, and the guidelines. This week's challenge is a designer takeover challenge, which means we get play along with a sketch challenge!

My card for this week's challenge was made using the Brilliant Wings Dies and the Many Mates Stamp Set. Here's my submission:

To get the striped background look from the sketch sample, I cut 1/2 inch strips of paper and layered them onto my  background. It is a very simple but effective effect and allows me to use up my extra paper scraps. For extra detail and dimension, I added layers of butterflies, one using the brand new Pattern Party DSP, which is quickly becoming my new favorite paper. Here's a close up:
