Stampin' Up Artisan Blog Hop - Flowers For Every Season

Well, hello peaches! Welcome to the Flowers For Every Season Stampin' Up! Artisan Design Team Blog Hop! Each month our very talented and creative team of designers will be bringing you inspiration, so get comfortable and have a ton of fun hopping along with us. You may have just arrived from the wonderfully talented Jan Clothier's Blog. She has made some lovely projects you're just going to love!
Today, we will be showcasing products from the Flowers For Every Season Suite found in the brand new Annual Catalog. This suite is unique in that it's designed to represent all four seasons making it great for all occasions. Here's a look at the suite:
FLOWERS FOR EVERY SEASON SUITE COLLECTION (ENGLISH)
For my first project today, I used the Celebrate Sunflowers Bundle. I wanted to create a soft watercolor look for my background. I also though that the center of the sunflower needed to be bigger, so i cut two of the more intricate sunflower images out, one from Early Espresso Cardstock and one from Bumblebee Cardstock. I then cut the center out of the Espresso one and adhered it to the center of the Bumblebee one. Then I just layered the center on to complete my sunflower. I added some Just Jade Gingham Ribbon and a few gems from the Flowers For Every Season Gems to look like dew drops.
Here's a close up of the card:
My next card uses the Jar of Flowers Bundle. This set comes with a fun jar punch that coordinates beautifully with the set. I used the longer lined image from the set to create a tone-on-tone patterned background by stamping with Mint Macaron Ink onto Mint Macaron Cardstock. After punching my front panel with the jar punch, I used the Mason Jar Shaker Domes inside the punched area to create a 3-D effect. I filled mine with the gems, but you could put all kinds a fun stuff in them like candy, pebbles, the list goes on!
Here's a closer look at the details of my second card:
My final card showcases both sets from this suite. I used the large sunflower die from the Sunflower Dies to create a textured, embossed look which adds a lot of interest. This is a fairly simple technique. You will just assemble your die cutting machine as you would to emboss, except you'll need to add an additional layer(s) of cardstock (shims) to your sandwich. Depending on your machine's configuration, you may need one or more shims. You will just have to test it out to see what works best for your machine. Then you just place your die on top of your cardstock where you'd like it to create the embossing and run it through. It's a really fun look and gives you all the more ways to use your dies, adding tons of value!
Here's a close-up of the effect:
This whole suite was so much fun and a great way to create stunning projects throughout the year. I hope you have enjoyed all of today's cards and designs. Keep hopping along and check out my other fellow teammates’ pages. They have some pretty amazing projects to share. Share Sunshine Blog Hop

Well, hello peaches! Welcome to the Share Sunshine Blog Hop! A few of us crafty ladies and gents wanted to get together and spread a little sunshine during these times of uncertainty and distance. Sometimes it just helps to know that we are all in this together and simple acts of kindness and spreading a little sunshine can make all the difference. I love J. K. Rowling's quote from the infamous Harry Potter books and I feel it rings so true: "Happiness can be found, even in the darkest of times, if one only remembers to turn on the light." So let's all spread a little sunshine each other's lives! You may have just arrived from the wonderfully talented Jan Clothier's Blog. She has made just the sweetest card for this hop!
When I think of sunshine I think of how it's so warming after a long storm, and this period of sheltering at home has felt like a long storm that we've had to persevere through. But I always look for the rainbow that shines so bright after the storm passes. That glimmer of hope is what reminds me that we can weather this storm. For that reason I have incorporated the rainbow into my card here:
This card uses the Under My Umbrella Bundle along with some watercolor. You can use whatever colors make you happy to recreate this look. The punch in this bundle does all the hard work. I love it!
Here's a close up of the effect:
I hop e I was able to bring a little hope and positivity into your day. Remember, we are in this together and will make it through together. Keep hopping along and check out my other fellow teammates’ pages. They have some pretty amazing projects to share. Stampin' Up Artisan Blog Hop - All About the Host

Well, hello peaches! Welcome to the All About the Host Stampin' Up! Artisan Design Team Blog Hop! Each month our very talented and creative team of designers will be bringing you inspiration, so get comfortable and have a ton of fun hopping along with us. Each team member is showcasing a different host set so make sure you hop all the way through. You may have just arrived from the wonderfully talented Jan Clothier's Blog. She has made some lovely projects!
Today, we will be showcasing products using host sets from both the Annual Catalog and the Mini Catalog. I had the pleasure of working with the Make A Splash Stamp Set. This set is completely adorbs and if you know me, you know this set is totally my jam!  Here's a look at the set:
MAKE A SPLASH HOST PHOTOPOLYMER STAMP SET
For my first project today, I wanted to create a realistic fishbowl look. I took quite a few sequins from the Woven Threads Sequin Sequin Assortment and adhered them to the bottom of my fishbowl. The Take Your Pick Tool comes in real handy for this step. Adding all of the plants and other details made it easy to hide the adhesive behind the vellum.
Here's a close up of the effect:
My next card uses Pool Party Cardstock. I used my Light Pool Party Blends to create the wave effect in the background. Then I used Pool Party Ink to add the bubbles. For all of my goldfish, I wanted to make them have a realistic shiny fish look so I stamped them in Grapefruit Grove Ink and immediately poured Clear Embossing Powder over it and heat set it. This gave it a shiny glisteny look.
Here's a close-up of the effect:
Here's a closer look at the details of my second card:
My final card showcases that little crab from the set. I used Rococo Rose Ink to stamp the crab repeatedly in the background and then pieced together a few of the sentiments to make my own.
These host sets are so much fun and a great way to create stunning projects. I hope you have enjoyed all of today's cards and designs. Keep hopping along and check out my other fellow teammates’ pages. They have some pretty amazing projects to share. PEACEFUL MOMENTS BUNDLE (ENGLISH)
For this hop, we are featuring the Peaceful Moments Bundle. This bundle, from the new Mini Catalog, was for sure at the top of my list. It has the most gorgeous floral die cuts and the font of the sentiments are just beautiful too!
For this card, I wanted to create a subtle shimmery background, using some of the splatter images in the coordinating Painted Poppies Set. To achieve this, I simply used my Wink of Stella Pen to color the stamp. Then I stamped it onto my cardstock-super simple! Just repeat and you'll have a unique and beautiful background. Here's a look at the efect of the shimmer stamping (below):
    Here's a close-up of the finished product:

    #TGIFc262 - Color Challenge

Hey peaches and thanks for joining me for another fun TGIF challenge this week! If you're new to the TGIF Challenges, each Friday, we offer a new themed challenge for you to play along with. Be sure to check out the main blog for more details, inspiration, and the guidelines. This week's challenge is a color challenge and what a challenge it was!
My card for this week's challenge was made using the Parisian Beauty Bundle. Here's my submission:
I have to be honest. This color combo was a challenge for me. I think they are beautiful together, but for some reason I just couldn't seem to get the right proportions of each color for my project. What I ended up settling on what a watercolor sunset effect to put behind my Eiffel Tower. To achieve this look, I used Watercolor Paper and my Aqua Painter to create an ombre background in Daffodil Delight Ink and Calypso Coral Ink.
To finish off my card with a few details, I used the Stitched Labels Dies for the little hearts and some sequins from the Iridescent Sequin Assortment. Here's a close-up of my project:
Thanks so much for stopping by and we would love it if you would join in on the fun! Come check out the TGIFChallenges Blog for more information and more challenges! Participants will have until the following Thursday at 10am PST to post your projects to the TGIF Blog Page. Don't forget to add the hashtag #tgifc262 when you share so we can see what you come up with!

Stampin' Up! Tips & Tricks - Embellishment Customization

I just adore “From My Heart Faceted Gems”and how they add just the right touch of sparkle to any project. They come in Flirty Flamingo, Real Red, and white, but the white gems can be customized into just about any color with your Stampin’ Blends Markers
Use your Take Your Pick Tool to pick out the white gems and to hold them in place as you use your Blends to color your gems. The pointed tip of the tool is useful to help rotate the gem as well, to ensure all sides are covered in ink.
You can add multiple layers of ink, allowing each layer to dry before adding more to get a darker, more vibrant color.
I used the Poppies Moments Dies for my lovely flowers and part of a sentiment from the Seriously the Best Stamp Set. You don't need too many elements for a look that is simple and soft, yet so elegant.

After coloring my gems in Highland Heather Stampin’ Blends Markers, I was able to perfectly pair my gems to my watercolor background (which was created using Highland Heather, Flirty Flamingo, and Petal Pink Inks). Here's a close-up of the gems:
