This week's challenge is an inspiration challenge and what a fun challenge it was!

My card for this week's challenge was made using the Forever Fern Bundle. Here's my submission:
For this challenge I was inspired by the floral imagery and the color scheme. I just love adding sprigs of floral images and die cuts to my projects, and combining soft pinks to neutrals is always a classy look. I wanted a soft background so I stamped with Smokey Slate Ink onto Smokey Slate Cardstock for a subtle background effect. I wanted to continue this soft theme by adding a layer of vellum that was stamped with Versamark and embossed in Silver Embossing Powder. Here's a close-up of the effect:

The sentiment was stamped in Smokey Slate Ink onto Blushing Bride Cardstock. Here's one last look at the details of my project:

Stampin' Up Artisan Blog Hop - Peace & Joy

Well, hello peaches! Welcome to the Peace & Joy Stampin' Up! Artisan Design Team Blog Hop! Each month our very talented and creative team of designers will be bringing you inspiration, so get comfortable and have a ton of fun hopping along with us. You may have just arrived from the wonderfully talented Jan Clothier's Blog. She has made some lovely projects!
Today, the team will be showcasing projects using the Peace & Joy Bundle, so be sure to check out all of the amazing inspiration! This set is so festive and has just so many possibilities for crafting all of those holiday crafts.  Here's a look at the set:
PEACE & JOY BUNDLE
My absolute favorite project I made was this dimensional Christmas ornament. They are prett simple to make. Here's what you need:
1. Use the Stitched Star Dies to cut out 3 stars from Balmy Blue Cardstock.
2. Emboss the stars with the Scripty 3D Embossing Folder.
3. Use the scoring blade on your Paper Trimmer to crease the center of each star and fold them in half.
4. Adhere one half of the first star to the half of the second star.
5. Then adhere the other half of the first and second stars to both halves of the third star so that your left with a 3 dimensional star.
6. You can die cut a festive word from the Joy Dies and add a few sequins for more interest. I also added some Misty Moonlight Baker's Twine to hang the ornament.
My next project uses a lot of the same element and theme-ing. I added in some deeper blue tones by stamping some floral images in Pacific Point Ink and Balmy Blue Ink. The sentiment was a combo of the two inks.
Here's a close-up of the effect:
My final card showcases the "peace" word die cut from Balmy Blue and Pacific Point Cardstock and layered on top of each other. One of the coolest aspects about this die set is all of the layering options it offers. I am easily able to create sentiments with shadowing effects.
This bundle was so much fun to create with and a great way to make fun, festive holiday projects for gifts, holiday cards, or parties. I hope you have enjoyed all of today's cards and designs. Keep hopping along and check out my other fellow teammates’ pages. They have some pretty amazing projects to share. Stampin’ Up! ADT Instagram Tip - Double Embossing

 Instagram Tip:

From #ArtisanDesignTeam member Lauren Alarid (@lalipeach):

“If you’re looking to get that textured metallic look for your projects, you can easily achieve it by doing a little something I like to call “double embossing”. It can add so much interest to any card. All you have to do is use some Embossing Paste and Stampin’ Emboss Powder to get this unique look!”

-Use your Palette Knife to spread the Embossing Paste over a mask, onto your paper. I used the Basic Pattern Decorative Masks for this project.

-Before the paste dries, sprinkle on some Silver Stampin’ Emboss Powder, and use your Heat Tool to set it. Be sure not to overheat the paste/powder, just enough to melt the silver powder.

-The result will be a fun, metallic, dimensional background!

-Add some cute details using sets like the Pampered Pets Stamp Set to finish it off.  Here’s a close up of the finished product:

#TGIFC276 Color Challenge

Hey peaches and thanks for joining me for another fun TGIF challenge this week! If you're new to the TGIF Challenges, each Friday, we offer a new themed challenge for you to play along with. Be sure to check out the main blog for more details, inspiration, and the guidelines. This week's challenge is a color challenge and what a fun challenge it was!
My card for this week's challenge was made using the Whale Done Bundle. Here's my submission:
I am a huge fan of the bright colors but struggle combining them sometimes. I have found that using them in softer tones like watercoloring, for example, helps them to look more cohesive. I used Magenta Madness, Bermuda Bay, and, Gorgeous Grape Inks to create a fun watercolor background. Then I used the Seabed Embossing Folder to create matching texture to the watercolored background.
I stamped the whale image from the Whale Done Stamp Set in Grape and used my Sponge Dauber to add some Bermuda Bay for a two-toned effect. The Whale Builder Punch made it super easy to punch out my stamped whale. I die cut some vellum seaweed using the Smooth Sailing Dies. Here's a close-up of my project:
