Stampin' Up! So Detailed Easter Card

Can you believe Easter is in less than a month?! I know, it's crazy! Well, I have a beautiful Easter card for you, using the "So Detailed" thinlits dies from the Occasions Catalog. These beautiful dies are designed to make beautiful wraps for elegant looking cards. What I've done is create a background, using one of the dies.

To create this look, I took the die with the floral edging and cut it from Pool Party cardstock.

I then took my snips and trimmed out a few of the intricate designs within this die cut and began adding them to my Pool Party base layer. This created the detailed background effect in my finished design.

I finished it off with a few accents and a sentiment from the "Suite Sentiments" stamp set and there you have it! Thanks so much for stopping by!

Stampin' Up! Lift Me Up Card

Hi Peaches! I know it's been a while. I'm actually so happy to say that I've been blessed to be able to get back into teaching again, and that seems to be taking up quite a bit of my crafting time. That won't stop me, however, from getting in my craft room to play with all the amazing goodies in Stampin' Up!'s newest Occasions catalog. One bundle that I've really enjoyed lately is the "Lift Me Up" set. It has these gorgeous hot air balloons, billowy clouds, and adorable sentiments that match perfectly with the set.

For my card, I wanted to keep it monochromatic, so I watercoloring yhe background, using the Soft Sky and Tempting Turquoise ink refill and my Wink of Stella pen for some added shimmer. Here's a photo of the shimmer up close:

When making my cards, I have started a new challenge for muse. My daughter just started kindergarten this past year and I decided that I would make a card to go in her snack/lunchbox every day. So for just about every "regular" sized card, I make a smaller, 3x3 version for her. Of course I choose an appropriate sentiment which often varies from the original. So in the photos below you'll see both sizes of this card. It's been a really fun challenge so far, and I may even continue next year. As always, thanks for stopping by!
