2018 A-Team Reunited Blog Hop

Hey everyone! So myself and a few of the past 2018 Artisan gals thought it would be fun to reunite for a fun little hop. Can you tell that we have just had too much fun creating together and inspiring?! Well, here we are again in all of our crafty glory, lol! If you are hopping in order, you will have arrived from the fantastically talented Connie Collins. Make sure you hop all the way through so that you don't miss a single BIT of crafting inspiration!

We decided that we didn't want to confine the hop to a particular theme, but make it an "anything goes" as long as we used current Stampin' Up! products. I used this opportunity to break out a set that I haven't created with yet, and the title of this set says it all: You're Inspiring. Here's a look at the set in case you haven't seen it yet:

Easter Mother's Day daffodil stamps

The design of my card is not too complicated but still keeps with my personal style. I used Daffodil Delight Blends to color the outer part of my flowers and added shading with some Mango Melody and a hint of Cajun Craze Blends for my centers. For the leafy portion of my flowers, I used Granny Apple Green Blends. To finish off my card, I added a few yellow sequins from the Iridescent Sequin AssortmentHere's a close-up of the flowers:

Well, this has been another amazing hop with some pretty out-of-this-world, blow you mind, talented ladies and I'm so grateful to have been a part of the 2018 team with them. In looking back, I have learned so much from them, and I have cherished their friendships. They have been encouraging and supportive through all of our ups and downs and these women will always hold a special place in my heart. Now on to you next mind-blowing inspiration, my insanely talented friend, Charlet Mallett

Thanks so much for stopping by and I'll see you next post!

father's day card stamp and die set

For this hop, we are featuring the Geared Up Garage Stamp Set from the Classic Garage Suite of products. I have made quite a few cards and projects with this stamps set. It's perfect for any masculine themed project. Although, I have seen quite a few feminine ones done as well.

I wanted a more textured,, grunged up look, so I roughed up the edges on my Tranquil Tide Cardstock panel. I also wanted to feature those awesome gear dies as well, so I added those to the front.

But one of the coolest parts about this card is the metallic Flax Ribbon that I created. Here's how you do it:
  1. Take a strip of your White Flax Ribbon and press one side down into your Versamark Ink Pad.
  2. Then, generously sprinkle your Silver Embossing Powder over the inked up side.
  3. Lastly, take your Heat Tool and melt the powder, making sure to stop heating it as soon as the powder melts. My guess (though I've not had this happen is that if you heat it too long, it is possible for the ribbon to melt or burn so heat with caution. I also recommend using tweezers to hold the ribbon while you heat it to avoid burning yourself.
Here's a close-up of the finished product:

Super simple, right? Honestly, in the beginning I wasn't sure how it would work out. I was worried the ribbon would melt from my Heat Tool, but it turned out awesome!

Well, that's my card for today's hop! Thanks so much for hopping along! Your next stop is my lovely and talented crafty friend Dawn Tidd! Check out her gorgeous blog and projects!

Classic Garage - Stampin' Up Artisan Blog Hop

Classic Garage

Well, hello peaches! Welcome to the Classic Garage Stampin' Up! Artisan Design Team Blog Hop! Each month our very talented and creative team of designers will be bringing you inspiration, so get comfortable and have a ton of fun hopping along with us. You may have just arrived from the wonderfully talented Kaylee Van Es' Blog. I just LOVE what she has created!

Today, I will be showcasing the Geared Up Garage Bundle from the Classic Garage Suite of products, so continue to hop along to see all of the amazing designs. What I love about this set is that it has a bit of grunge and texture, but could also easily be used for feminine cards as well! Just add a little pink or soft colors and you've got a great card with a lot of horsepower! Additionally, the dies in this set such as the gears offer other creative options as well. I personally saw a steampunk design come to mind when I first saw this set so the possibilities are endless.

father's day card stamp and die set

For my first card, and all of my cards showcased today really, I have decided to choose colors that coordinated with the Classic Garage Designer Series Paper (DSP) since I wanted to include it. The fun designs are perfect for any garage or mechanical theme and I love the colors! I began with some Tranquil Tide Cardstock and stamped a few gears in the background. Then I layered on some DSP and a few gears that I had die cut. I cut the wrench and screwdriver directly from the DSP.

My second card features the largest gear die cut from the bundle. I also added a bit of DSP and ripped along the edges for a more grungy textured look.

The ribbon used on this card is the Stripped Metallic Ribbon and it looks so cool! The metallic center of the ribbon reminds me of the reflector plates you see on cars and other machinery. Here's a close up:

My final card has a bit of DSP, gears, and a muscle car prominently featured on the front. I roughed up and dog-eared the corners of the DSP so add more texture and make it more masculine. Then I used my Sponge Dauber to ink on some Tranquil Tide Ink so that the corners wouldn't be so stark white.

I love how the gear dies emboss lines as well as cut for a realistic cog look.

Here's a close-up of my first card:

These products were so fun and inspiring and I know I'll definitely be using them again on future projects. I hope you have enjoyed all of today's cards and designs (full list of supplies below). Keep hopping along and check out my other fellow teammates’ pages. They have some pretty amazing projects to share. I’ve listed them, along with all products used below or you can just click the link below to hop to the fabulously creative Maike Beimler
