Stampin' Up! Corporate Blog Post - Seriously the Best Project Kit Alternatives

Seriously the Best Project Kit Alternatives
Hello, everyone! My name is Lauren Alarid. I’m a Stampin’ Up! demonstrator in California and 2020 Artisan Design Team member, and I am so happy to be sharing my creativity on the company blog. There are so many great project kits that Stampin’ Up! Has to offer, but one that really caught my eye was the “Seriously the Best ProjectKit”.
SERIOUSLY THE BEST PROJECT KIT
I enjoyed creating with it so much that I came up with a few more alternative ways to use it.
These kits are great for making gorgeous cards without having to worry about trying to pair products or stressing over color coordination. All the hard work has been done for you in these kits. All you need is the coordinating “Seriously the Best” Stamp Set, some adhesive, ink, and scissors.
One thing that I love to do with these kits is to turn them into a gift. This particular set comes with this darling floral box that coordinates perfectly with the card designs, and I knew I just had to create a pretty little banner for the top. To get this sweet little banner look, I just die cut some stars (using the Stitched Star Dies) from Mint Macaron Cardstock and Balmy Blue Cardstock and cut the tips off. I love the stitched look that they give the banner pieces. I used the thread from the kit to attach the banner pieces to and used the Lined Alphabet Stamp Set to spell out “thanks”. I adhered the banner greeting on top of the box, along with a panel created using one of the Terracotta Tile patterned card fronts.
The card alternatives came together using mainly elements from the kit. For the Mint Macaron and Terracotta Tile colored cards, I used the provided card bases and kit elements to create a couple different layouts.
For the Balmy Blue card, however, I used one of the coordinating card front pieces from the kit and paired it with my own patterned paper. To get this look, I simply took a piece of Balmy Blue Cardstock, some Balmy Blue Ink, and the coordinating stamp set, and stamped the floral images all over my cardstock. I stamped the larger floral image in 2nd generation ink (stamped off once) and the smaller image in full strength ink. That blue pairs beautifully with that adorable mint colored bird.

I wanted to include a final picture (below) so that you can see how beautiful and simple creating your own patterned paper can be.
I love finding versatility in my products. It’s so satisfying to not only get these lovely kits in our hands, but to be able to use them well beyond their intended design. I hope that you have enjoyed these great alternatives as much as I have had designing these alternatives.
Happy Crafting!
Lauren Alarid

#TGIFc252 - This or That

Hey peaches and thanks for joining me for another fun TGIF challenge this week! If you're new to the TGIF Challenges, each Friday, we offer a new themed challenge for you to play along with. Be sure to check out the main blog for more details, inspiration, and the guidelines. This week's challenge is a product challenge. We had to pick which DSP we preferred from the Sale-A-Bration Catalog, the Lily Impressions Designer Series Paper or the Golden Honey Specialty Designer Series Paper
I knew from the moment I spotted it in the catalog that I would buy a million packs of that Golden Honey Paper! It's stunning! So for my card for this week's challenge I combined that lovely DSP with elements from the Painted Poppies Bundle. Here's my submission:
I made both a standard card as well as a mini 3x3 note card. One of my favorite color combos is black and white with a touch of aqua and gold, so I pulled in some Coastal Cabana Ink to watercolor my poppies.
Here's a close up of the details:
Here's the mini note card:

Stampin' Up Artisan Blog Hop - Peaceful Poppies

Well, hello peaches! Welcome to the Peaceful Poppies Stampin' Up! Artisan Design Team Blog Hop! Each month our very talented and creative team of designers will be bringing you inspiration, so get comfortable and have a ton of fun hopping along with us. You may have just arrived from the wonderfully talented Jan Clothier's Blog. She has made some lovely projects!
Peaceful Poppies
Today, we will be showcasing products using both the Painted Poppie Bundle and the Peaceful Moments Bundle. These bundles are designed to coordinate together, and as such, offer so many options for creating stunning cards and beautiful gifts. I have mixed and matched the two bundles to create my designs today. Here's a look at the entire suite of products:
PEACEFUL POPPIES SUITE BUNDLE (ENGLISH)
For my first project today, I used one of the floral dies that cuts out just the negative pieces and leaves a beautiful design behind. I used that ""peek-through" to show a layer of that stunning Peaceful Poppies Designer Series Paper (DSP). I just love the look of that watercolor effect that these papers give.
I used both Calypso Coral (bottom layer of my flower) and Poppy Parade Cardstock (top, detailed layer of my flower) for my main poppy image. I added a few of those lovely little Peaceful Poppies Sequins to finish off my card.
My next card uses the same colors to create my poppies. However in this one I added some leaves that I colored with my Granny Apple Green Blends. I also layered in a few vellum flowers and a black embossed circle, both from the Peaceful Poppies Elements. I also stamped my background with a few leaves in Granny Apple Green Ink.
For my final card, I wanted to go bold and create a card with a black background to really contrast with my poppy. I used Granny Apple Green Cardstock for my leaves and used the Stitched Nested Labels Dies behind my poppy.
I had so much fun creating these fabulous products. I hope you have enjoyed all of today's cards and designs. Keep hopping along and check out my other fellow teammates’ pages. They have some pretty amazing projects to share. I’ve listed them, along with all products used below or you can just click the link below to hop to the fabulously creative Leah Fedynak

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU CLING STAMP SET (ENGLISH)
LILY PAD DIES
For this hop, we get to choose anything from the Sale-A-Bration Catalog. My two projects today feature the Happy Birthday To You Stamp Set and the Lily Pad Dies. Both of these items are "must haves" if you ask me. So many amazing possibilities!
For this card, I wanted to create a soft pastel ombre background. I embossed my blossom images in gold. Though this image can certainly be colored in watercolor for a beautiful effect too. Ii used the coordinating dies to cut out my image and then stamped it again in my background in Smokey Slate Ink. I layered some of the coordinating Parisian Blossoms Designer Series Paper and added some Champagne Rhinestones to finish off my card.
    Here's a close-up of the mini 3x3 note card:

Well, that's my card for today's hop! Thanks so much for hopping along! Your next stop is my lovely and talented crafty friend Heidi Baks! Check out her gorgeous blog and projects!

I just LOVE what she has created
Coordination Product Release (pre-orders are limited to one per demonstrator):
For the first hop I was lucky enough to get to work with the STUNNING Nature's Thoughts Dies (153586). You can click here to see more details about these projects. Here were my projects from that hop, using the Nature's Thoughts Dies:
For my projects for today, I got to play with the Happy Birthday to You Stamp Set and the coordinating Birthday Dies (153590).
I have made a gift tag and matching card. When I design my cards and projects I like to have a few generic options on hand so that I can easily grab one for last minute occasions when necessary. So my idea was to create a card that could that could be used for either birthdays or weddings, so I chose the sentiment "celebrate". I love the gorgeous flowers in the stamp set and I love that the coordinating dies includes a die designed to cut the flowers out separately-genius!
I stamped my cake twice (once for my main cake image and then once more so that I could cut the flowers separately) in Versamark Ink and then embossed them in gold for a delicate, elegant look. Then, I used the leafy dies to die cut a bunch of leaves from Whisper White, Balmy Blue, and Coastal Cabana Cardstock. My plan was to use these leaves to create dimensional flowers for my cake.
As mentioned previously, one of the great things about all of these coordinating products is that the dies eliminate the need for fussy cutting, and therefore, freeing up more time to create projects. With this die set, I was able to easily die cut multiple leaves for my flowers.
To create my dimensional flowers, I first put down a Mini Glue Dot. Then I cut the leaves from the stems and began layering them together. I staggered the layers so that each leaf layer would sit in between the spaces of the previous layer. You will likely need to add more glue dots between layers as you go.Once you have the desired amount of layering, you can finish the flowers off with a Pearl center or rhinestone if you wish. The matching card was created in much the same manner. Here's a look at the card version of my project:
These coordinating products are so versatile and fun, and have everything you need to let you celebrate your creativity! I hope you have enjoyed all of today's cards and designs (full list of supplies below). Keep hopping along and check out my other fellow teammates’ pages. They have some pretty amazing projects to share. I’ve listed them, along with all products used below or you can just click the link below to hop to the fabulously creative Leah Fedynak
