Fancy Friday - Annual Holiday Mixer

Hey everyone and welcome to the Fancy Friday Blog Hop! If you’re new the the Fancy Friday Blog Hops, we are a group of past and current Artisans that get together each month on the last Friday of each month to bring you crafty inspiration with monthly themes and challenges. I’m so honored and excited to be a part of this talented group! Now onto this month’s focus!

This month the challenge was to create something using products from both the Annual Catalog and the current Holiday Catalog. Well, I saw that adorable Walrus from the We'll Walrus Be Friends Cling Stamp Set and I knew I had to add a little felt cap from the Let It Snow Embellishment Kit to keep him warm.

I also combined this set with another Holiday Catalog Favorite of mine, the Christmas Layers Dies. I used the snowflakes from the set to create a snowy watercolor background. For an extra sparkly touch, I added a few snowflake sequins from the Snowflake Sequin mix. In the close-up below, you'll also notice that I stamped and paper pierced the iceberg out of Sparkle Glimmer Paper. I love how it sparkles!

I hope you have enjoyed today's card and don't forget to keep hopping for more inspiration. Up next on the hop is the incredibly talented Cathy Caines. You will be blown away by here designs!

#TGIFc234 - Happy Halloween

Hey peaches and thanks for joining me for my debut as the newest creative member of the TGIF design team! If you're new to the TGIF Challenges, each Friday, we offer a new themed challenge for you to play along with. Be sure to check out the main blog for more details, inspiration, and the guidelines. This week's challenge is a Halloween themed challenge and I absolutely love it!

My cards for this week's challenge were made using a combo of the Wonderfully Wicked Stamp Set and the Spooktacular Bash Stamp Set. Here are my submissions:

For my first card (above), I used the dies from the Spooktacular Bash to emboss into my background for added texture and dimension. I love how lovely it looks on that purple cardstock.

For my second card (above), I just colored a few letters and cut them out to spell "boo", I stamped my background and it was quickly done!

Thanks so much for stopping by and we would love it if you would join in on the fun! Come check out the TGIFChallenges Blog for more information and more challenges! Paticipants will have until the following Thursday at 10am PST to post your projects to the TGIF Blog Page. Don't forget to add the hashtag #tgifc234 when you share so we can see what you come up with!

Holiday Bundles - Stampin' Up Artisan Blog Hop

Well, hello peaches! Welcome to the Holiday Bundles Stampin' Up! Artisan Design Team Blog Hop! Each month our very talented and creative team of designers will be bringing you inspiration, so get comfortable and have a ton of fun hopping along with us. You may have just arrived from the wonderfully talented Kaylee Van Es' Blog. Just over the moon about what she has created!

Today, we will be showcasing a few of the holiday bundles that are available in the 2019 Holiday Catalog. The twist for this hop is that we all have challenged ourselves to feature these bundles, using them with alternative colors than the ones they are designed to coordinate with in the catalog. For example, I will be using the Snowman Season Bundle which was designed to go with the coordinating suite colors of Basic Black, Blueberry Bushel, Coastal Cabana, Flirty Flamingo, Real Red, and Shaded Spruce. While I will be using Purple Posy, Pool Party, Blamy Blue, and Coastal Cabana on my projects today. Each of us will feature a variety of bundles, so make sure you hop all the way through to see even more amazing inspiration.

   SNOWMAN SEASON BUNDLE

What I decided to do for my projects today was to create a little Christmas tag gift box. This set is perfect for adorable little tags and I even added a bonus surprise in the box: a snowman snow globe! I had the idea of turning the amazing Snow Globe Shaker Domes into a dimensional shaker snow globe ornament the moment I saw them in the catalog back in August and knew the little snowman would be a perfect centerpiece for it.

The dimensional snow globes are super easy to make. Here's how you do it:
  1. First, take one dome and peel away the adhesive backer and fill with shaker bits. Mine has some Snowflake Sequins (LOVE), Ice Stampin' Glitter, and a bit of extra Dazzling Diamonds Stampin' Glitter.
  2. Second, arrange your pieces (trees, snowman etc.). I used the stick part of the dome to keep them in place.
  3. You will want to add some thread or twine at the top, between the domes so your ornament can hang.
  4. Next, take another dome, peel away the adhesive backing, line up the rims of the domes and stick together. I also added a thin layer of liquid glue to ensure the domes stayed sealed since I had so many things layered between them.
  5. You can add a snow globe base as well. I used the Snow Globe Scenes Dies for my base.

Here's a closeup of the effect (below):

For the box and one of the tags, I wanted a matching striped pattern, so I used my Pool Party, Purple Posy, and Balmy Blue Blends. I often love to create my own DSP with the blends because they color so beautifully. I deconstructed the Follow Your Art Embellishment Kit box for the design of the box. Then I just colored onto white cardstock with my Blends. I even used the Posy Blend to color the ribbon to coordinate!

Here's a close-up of the tag on the box:

Here's the tag with the striped background that I created with my blends. I love this little snowman. He reminds me of Charlie Brown when he's doing the happy dance, LOL:

For my third tag, I stamped, colored and punched out my snowman. It's so simple to create multiple images for my projects with that adorable snowman punch.

This was such a fun and inspiring challenge, using these products with alternative color combos. I hope you have enjoyed all of today's tags and designs (full list of supplies below). Keep hopping along and check out my other fellow teammates’ pages. They have some pretty amazing projects to share. I’ve listed them, along with all products used below or you can just click the link below to hop to the fabulously creative Maike Beimler
