#TGIFc232 - Color Challenge

Hey peaches and thanks for joining me for my debut as the newest creative member of the TGIF design team! If you're new to the TGIF Challenges, each Friday, we offer a new themed challenge for you to play along with. Be sure to check out the main blog for more details, inspiration, and the guidelines. This week's challenge is a product spotlight challenge and I absolutely love it!

My card for this week's challenge were made using the Seaside Notions Stamp Set. Here my submission:

This card has many layers and so much texture! I used Pretty Peacock as my base. I love the deep, rich color of this ink and cardstock. I embossed the seahorse and some coral in gold onto Watercolor Paper as well as Vellum. Then I used my Grapefruit Grove Ink and Aqua Painter to layer on color onto my seahorse for a gradient look with shadowing. I wanted my coral to have a bit of variation so some was embossed on watercolor paper and some was embossed on vellum. For the vellum coral, I used my Crumb Cake Blends to add color. Then I stamped all of my coral images in Crumb Cake Ink with the sandy looking stamp. Here's a close up of the effect:

I also stamped the inside of my card with coordinating colors from the challenge:

I also made a coordinating mini 3x3 card:

2018 A-Team Reunited - Festive Fun

Hey everyone! So myself and a few of the past 2018 Artisan gals thought it would be fun to reunite for a fun little "Festive Fun" hop. Can you tell that we have just had too much fun creating together and inspiring?! Well, here we are again in all of our crafty glory, lol! If you are hopping in order, you will have arrived from the fantastically talented Charlet Mallett. Make sure you hop all the way through so that you don't miss a single BIT of crafting inspiration!

We decided that with the holidays coming up that a hop with a festive theme would be quite appropriate and fun. I used this opportunity to break out the super stunning product medley: Most Wonderful Time, and this set has it all. It comes with a stamp set, dies, coordinating Designer Series Paper, trim, and embellishments. Here's a look at the medley in case you haven't seen it yet:

MOST WONDERFUL TIME PRODUCT MEDLEY (EN)

I used the main tree image to stamp repeatedly onto my background in Shaded Spruce Ink. I stamped it again (2nd generation) onto some Soft Sea Foam Cardstock for a little contrast for my focal tree image. I layered in some embellishments and some of that fun tinsel trim. Here's a close-up look:

Well, this has been another amazing hop with some pretty out-of-this-world, blow you mind, talented ladies and I'm so grateful to have been a part of the 2018 team with them. In looking back, I have learned so much from them (and STILL learning), and I have cherished their friendships. They have been encouraging and supportive through all of our ups and downs and these women will always hold a special place in my heart. Now on to you next mind-blowing inspiration, my insanely talented friend, Emma Goddard

Stampin' Up! Instagram Technique Tuesday - Customized Colored Vellum

Hey peaches! I'm here with another Technique Tuesday Tip! Every Tuesday Stampin' Up! features tips and tricks on their Instagram feed for inspiration. It's my turn this time and for my tip today, I'm featuring the Varied Vases Stamp Set.

Are you a fan of colored vellum, but don’t have an exact match for your project? Well, it’s super simple to create your own color coordinating vellum! Just take a piece of Vellum Cardstock. Then use your Sponge Dauber to ink up the vellum in your chosen color of ink.

To fix any curling that the moisture may cause to the vellum, you can run it through your die cutting machine and it will help to flatten it back out.

You can create ombre patterned vellum or even stripes. With this customization technique, there are so many possibilities! Here's a close up of my finished card:

Christmastime Is Here - Stampin' Up Artisan Blog Hop 1

Well, hello peaches! Welcome to the Christmastime Is Here Stampin' Up! Artisan Design Team Blog Hop! Christmas has come early this year and we plan to help you get ready to make this season truly magical! I'm so excited to be sharing a few projects using the stunning new products from this suite! For a limited time (starting November 1st, until supplies last) you can get your hands on this exclusive collection of festive, floral coordinating products (demonstrators have exclusive access to these products from October 1st-31st). So grab yours now before it sells out so you can share in the love, joy, and creativity this holiday season! You may have just arrived from the wonderfully talented Kaylee Van Es' Blog. I just LOVE what she has created

Included in this suite (bundle # 153947) $112.50:
  • Christmas Rose Bundle (#153944) $61
  • Christmas Rose Stamp Set (#152431) (1 cling stamp set & 1 photopolymer stamp set) $38
  • Roses Dies (#152144) (7 dies) $30
  • Gold 1/4" Shimmer Ribbon (#152156) $7
  • Gold Glitter Enamel Dots (#152155) $8
  • Christmastime Is Here Designer Series Paper (DSP) (#152154) $14.50
  • Charming Rose Bracelet (#152159) $22

Coordinating Colors:

Cherry Cobbler, Early Espresso, Mossy Meadow, Poppy Parade, and Gold Foil

Here are my projects using this suite:

For my first card, I used one of the spotted stamps to stamp and emboss in gold a fun background. I love the contrast of the gold on the Peacock cardstock! I also love that one of the dies in this suite cuts out the flower bunch in the coordinating DSP. I used that die cut bundle as my main focal image. I also used the gorgeous Gold Shimmer Ribbon to layer beneath my sentiment. I love this design because it's fairly quick to make but has so many details so it's great for the avid crafter!

My next project is a Christmas tag. I use so many tags for my Christmas gifts each year and this set offers so many options to make gorgeous coordinating tags for you gifts and treats this season.

This tag base is very simple to make, but has such an elegant look. Here's how you do it:
  1. First, use your Stitched Nested Label Dies to cut from Cherry Cobbler Cardstock.
  2. Next, take the two matching "flourishy" dies from the Roses Dies and cut from Cobbler Cardstock.
  3. Then carefully adhere the bottom portion of each die cut to the ends of your stitched label die. Just add your layers after that and you're done!
My last card uses some of my favorite pieces from the coordinating DSP. I just layered some floral images and die cuts with a layer of the DSP patterned paper. The gold elements just pop with this color combo.

The products in this suite were so fun, festive, and inspiring and I can't wait to create more Christmas-y projects because this suite has me covered! I hope you have enjoyed all of today's cards and designs (full list of supplies below). Keep hopping along and check out my other fellow teammates’ pages. They have some pretty amazing projects to share. I’ve listed them, along with all products used below or you can just click the link below to hop to the fabulously creative Maike Beimler
