June Color Challenge #5 #MPSCC5

This week's challenge was inspired by a simple configuration of accessories I found as I was creating my previous project. I love seeing Burmuda Bay, WhisperWhite, Pool Party, and gold together. They looked so soft, yet elegant. It's such a fun color combo to look at.

Feather Together Stamp Set

I've been wanting to try this stamp set out but I've felt creatively blocked, trying to come up with an idea of what I wanted to create. When I start to design a card, I like to either pull inspiration from a color palette usually, but lately I've started to just stamp on white cardstock and see where it takes me. From there I'll just create my card around that design. I love trying different creative processes and seeing the different results I can get!

Baby Shower "Weather Together" invites

I'm working on a project today for a close friend of mine whose having a baby girl. She asked me to design some baby shower invites for her. I wanted to keep it beautiful and classy, but simple enough to reproduce, because, let's face it, I'm making around 50 of them! So for this card, I just stamped some images from "Weather Together" and "Layering Love" for the sentiment on some banners. Then cut out the umbrella accessories from the "Umbrella Weather" framelits dies. For the clear heart "rain drops", I used window sheets, and for the second white layer, I used one of the left over bases from the "Oh Happy Day" card kit.  The moment I saw this weather set introduced, I thought of using it for bridal and baby showers. Now off to mass produce the invites!
