I've really been enjoying all the gorgeous background stamps that Stampin' Up! offers. They add such beautiful texture, without too much guesswork, and the end result is always so stunning. I've found that it works best for me if I start with the largest images first, or I will save the images that I want to be in the foreground for last. You can also plan out which images you want to be more obvious in your background and stamp those in darker inks, while the others can be stamped in lighter inks. Any way you do it, you can't really go wrong!
For my card, I wanted something ethereal and serine to create a background that fit with my butterfly. This butterfly used in my card is also great for fun, bright, cheery cards as well! It's so versatile. Anyway, created my background by layering the images from my set on my Whisper White cardstock. I added the sentiment from the set in Basic Black ink because there was so much going on in the background that I was afraid it would get lost in any other color. You could also heat emboss your sentiment to help it stand out as well.
I really love this technique and encourage you to try for yourself. As always, all supplies used for this card are listed below. Thanks for stopping by!
