Well I still managed to squeeze some in, because let's face it, I can't actually hold him 24/7, lol. So for today's card, I have a beautiful design, using the Magical Mermaid stamp set. Peaches, this set is every beautiful thing I could possibly say. Okay, so I was a very young girl when The Little Mermaid came out, and I was obsessed with mermaids ever since. Now my sweet littles has carried on the tradition and shares my love for all things ocean and magical. So obviously I HAD to get this set! It's absolutely stunning and the images are so, well, magical.
To start my card off, I inked up the new Marbled background stamp, first in Pool Party, then in Island Indigo, and spritzed it with some water. This created a lovely watercolor look to my main panel. After it dried, I felt it needed more, so I took the Seaside textured embossing folder and ran my panel through with that folder. I also added a few strokes of Wink of Stella. Then I was onto coloring my mermaid while the background panel dried.
To color my mermaid, I used some ink and my aqua painter to blend some colors in the tail. The image is very easy to color and no matter your level of experience with watercolor, this image makes it very easy to produce gorgeous artistic results.
To add some finishing details, I added some Copper Trim to mimic netting, my sentiment, and some of the new metallic sequins. And that completes my card today! Thanks so much for stopping by and have a wonderful weekend!
I hope you can see the shimmer in her tail!
