The brand new Dashing Deer Stamp Set is probably hands down my favorite new set in the holiday catalog. I mean who couldn't love this set?! There are elegant prancing deer, warm holiday sentiments, and plenty of stunning extras.
This card was designed with blues tones in mind. I wanted the deer on my card to look as if he was dashing through a furry of snow on a cold winter day in the woods.
The background was created by using one of the textured stamps from the Artisan Textures Stamp Set in Balmy Blue Ink. I stamped it repeatedly over the bottom right quadrant of my panel in 1st, 2nd, and 3rd generation ink. Then I took one of the sentiment stamps from the deer set and stamped it in full strength and 2nd generation ink, in my background a few times. I love the subtle snowy look it gives my background panel.
I die cut the deer from Whisper White Cardstock and added a few snowflakes that I cut from Sparkle Glimmer Paper. As a final touch, I added a few silver sequins from the Metallic Sequin Assortment.
