Sea Of Textures - Stamp Review Crew Blog Hop

the stamp review crew

Hello Peaches! I'm here to participate in another fun blog hop with The Stamp Review Crew! If you're not familiar with The Stamp Review Crew , they are a group of very talented international Stampin' Up! demonstrators who get together on the first and third Monday of each month to bring you all kinds of delicious inspiration that features a different stamp set each new Monday.

The blog hops are archived at The Stamp Review Crew blog and you'll be able to click through the hops at any time, going directly to the posts as you wish for any of the hops. Just click on the banner of this post to go to the master blog roll for this hop also. If you have already started the hop, you will have come from the lovely and creative Nikki Spencer.

Sea of Textures Clear-Mount Bundle

For this hop, we are featuring the Sea Of Textures Stamp Set. I was actually assigned this set to demonstrate at our Onstage event this past April in Las Vegas. It is an absolute favorite of mine. I love that it has so many gorgeous stamps and dies, full of texture, and I wanted to showcase that beautiful texture in my card today.

I began with a panel of Watercolor Paper and my Aqua Painter. I created a watercolor wash background using Bermuda Bay Ink, Soft Sea Foam Ink, and Highland Heather Ink. While that dried, I stamped my octopus in Versamark Ink onto Vellum and then heat embossed it with White Embossing Powder. After I die cut the octopus out, I flipped it over so that I could use my Bermuda Bay Stampin' Writer Marker to add a little color. I die cut a few more elements like the netting and sand dollar from Gray Granite Cardstock and Soft Sea Foam Cardstock and finished it off with a few sequins from the Iridescent Sequin Assortment

Well, that's my card for today's hop! Thanks so much for hopping along! I just wanted to mention to my regular followers that these coming weekly posts will be a little different. I am participating in multiple blog hops this month so that means extra inspiration for you! Next stop is the lovely and talented Tanya Boser! Check out her gorgeous blog and projects!
