Hearts Come Home Watercolor Christmas Card

Hearts Come Home Watercolor Christmas Card

Happy Wednesday Peaches! I have a lovely watercolor Christmas card to share with you today. Watercolor is so fun and easy because there’s really now way to go wrong. To start I take a piece of Watercolor Paper and my Aqua Painter. To “prime” my paper, I like to “color” the area that I want watercolored with my Aqua Painter (water only). Then I take my Emerald Envy Ink Pad (while it’s still closed), squeeze it a bit so that the ink pad touches the inside of the lid and leaves a little ink. Then I dip my Aqua Painter in the ink and create Emerald Envy watercolor. I run my painter all along the area that I had already wet with water and the ink should spread seamlessly. If you use too much water, you run the risk of getting a shopping mess and hard edges. Additionally, your project is more likely to warp. If you wish for your color to be more intense, I recommend drying in between layers and just keep adding color until you are satisfied with the results.

The rest is really simple. I added some gold embossing, die cut a house and church from the Hearts Come Home Bundle, and added a few sequins. I just love how adding a few extra details creates so much interest.

Thanks so much for stopping by and I’ll see you next post!
