Hey Peaches!! I can't believe that it's already April! That means that we only have a few more months before the brand new Stampin' Up! catalog is released!!! I'm super excited to see all the new products!! On Monday, April 10th, Stampin' Up! will announce its retired list as well. What that means is that some items will not be carrying over into the new catalog and will be no longer available to purchase once they are sold out, so snatch up what you can! I'm already mourning the loss of some of the 2015-2017 in-colors. The good news is that with each new catalog they introduce 5 brand new in-colors! I've already seen 3 of them and they are SUPER yummy!
With the retiring list on my mind, I thought I'd use one of my favorites from our latest Occasions catalog, "Lift Me Up". Hopefully this set will make it into the new catty, but if not, I'm going to be sure to use it! This set is so darn cute and I have a fun technique to share with you on how I made my card.
Now for my card, I wanted a soft subtle look, so I wanted my balloons to be stamped and embossed in white on vellum. However the largest Balloon image does not have a coordinating stamp. However the coordinating dies haves this gorgeous large balloon die, so I used it to die cut the shape from craft foam.
Then I added some non permanent adhesive to one side of the foam and mounted it to my acrylic block and voilà, you have a large balloon stamp!
I stamped the image (which worked quite well, yay!) with Versamark ink, added white embossing powder, heat set it, and just used my snips to carefully cut around the image. And that's my card for today! Thanks for stopping by and check out the special I'm having down below!
