Tropical Chic Stamp Review Crew Blog Hop

Hello Peaches! I'm here to participate in another fun blog hop with The Stamp Review Crew! If you're not familiar with The Stamp Review Crew , they are a group of very talented international Stampin' Up! demonstrators who get together to bring you all kinds of delicious inspiration that features a different stamp set each new Monday.

The blog hops are archived at The Stamp Review Crew blog and you'll be able to click through the hops at any time, going directly to the posts as you wish for any of the hops. Just click on the banner of this post to go to the master blog roll for this hop also. If you have already started the hop, you will have come from the lovely and creative Tanya Boser.

For this hop, we are featuring the Tropical Chic Stamp Set from the Tropical Chic Suite of products. I just adore this entire suite! It's one of my absolute favorites from the new Catalog. There are different shaped palm fronds, tropical flowers, and lovely background building patterned stamps. After you see all of the stunning projects everyone has in store, you'll see why this is a "must have" set.

If you have been following me for a while you know that I am typically a blues and greens girl, but this set screamed a warmer toned color scheme. I began with a water color wash on some Watercolor Paper. I used my Aqua Painter along with a combination of Petal Pink Ink and Powder Pink Ink to create a soft wash for my background.

Then I started to stamp my flowers and palm fronds. I stamped the flowers first in Flirty Flamingo Ink and then used my Sponge Dauber in Mango Melody Ink to ink just the center of each flower. For the palm fronds, I did the same technique except I used Lemon Lime Twist Ink and Shaded Spruce Ink for my shading. I also cut a few fronds from Call Me Clover Cardstock. I stamped one of the background stamps from the set in Petal Pink Ink in my background for a bit more depth and texture and then layered all of my images and die cuts. To finish it off, I added a few sequins from the Iridescent Sequin Assortment

Well, that's my card for today's hop! Thanks so much for hopping along! I just wanted to mention to my regular followers that these coming weekly posts will be a little different. I am participating in multiple blog hops this month so that means extra inspiration for you! Next stop is the very talented Natalie Lapakko! Check out her lovely blog and projects!
