Lilypad Lake Watercolor Congratulations Card

Hey peaches! I just got back into town after a great little summer vacation with my family. We went to Disneyland for 3 days and it was a blast. My hubby and I have always loved our visits to Disney, but it's even more fun seeing the joy through the eyes of our 6-year old. Everything is so magical and fun. We even planned our trip around Pixar Fest. It is an event designed to celebrate the grand opening of the brand new Pixar Pier which is a part of the California Adventure side and themed after all of the Disney Pixar films. The best part was the amazing and unique food. I'll include a few pictures from our trip below, but for now, on to today's card!

Today I'm featuring the Lilypad Lake Bundle. This is such a gorgeous bundle and a must-have for any crafter. There are so many beautiful images and sentiments to choose from, and it was the perfect choice for my card today. 

 This is a pretty simple card. I just created a watercolor wash. To achieve this look you will use your Aqua Painter and wash on a combo of Bermuda Bay Ink and Soft Sea Foam ink, making sure to blend in the middle, onto Watercolor Paper. I also stamped the crane onto watercolor paper and added a little shading. 

Everything else is pretty self-explanatory, except for the colored rhinestones. Do you wish you had a particular color rhinestone to add to your projects? Well, it's really easy! Just take your Rhinestone Basic Jewels and use your Blends (in this case, I used Granny Apple Green Light Stampin' Blends) to color directly onto the stone. Allow it to dry for a minute or two and voila, you have a perfectly matched rhinestone! Well, that's my card for today! Thanks so much for stopping by! I'll see you next post!
