Today's tip is a really fun one! One of my favorite things to do is to turn stamped images into beautiful water colored silhouettes. I just love the way it changes the look of the stamped image completely!
For this technique I am using the Magical Mermaid Stamp Set, but this could work for just about any image and stamp set. To start, just take your Sponge Daubers and add various ink
colors to create a muti-colored image. I used Berry Burst Ink, Bermuda Bay Ink, and Lemon Lime Twist Ink for my mermaid image.
Stamp onto Watercolor Paper, and use your Aqua Painter to blend and fill in the color.
Let you image dry and then feel free to add more color with coordinating ink colors for a more vibrant look.
Add a little spritzing of coordinating ink colors with your Aqua Painter and create an ethereal watercolor look on your projects. I also like to take a small piece of Window Sheet, tap the center of the sheet onto coordinating ink pads (one color at a time), spritz the drops from a few feet away, and "smoosh" it onto my project to add to the watercolor look. play around with this technique and you'll find that no two will look the same.
You'll notice the layout of this card was CASEd from one of the sample from the Annual Catalog. I think it was the perfect sketch for this technique.
Thanks so much for stopping by! I'll see you next post!
