As I've mentioned in previous posts, Stampin' Up! is offering a sneak peek into one of the brand new suites from the new catalog a little early. They are offering two exclusive bundles, along with free, bonus product, from the Easten Palace Suite. Keep in mind that these bundle offers will only be available through May 31st, and then you will only be able to get these gorgeous items separately. Check out the links below for more details about each of these bundles.
Today's project features the new Eastern Palace Premier bundle. I'm also participating in a color challenge this week, which includes Dapper Denim, Early Espresso, and Whisper White.
One of the things I LOVE about this bundle is that the Eastern Medallion thinlits dies can be mixed and matched together in an almost limitless variety. The results are absolutely breathtaking. For my background, I used two of these dies to create almost a faux textured/embossed look. I also added the brand new Copper Trim, and holy moly guys, this stuff is beyond gorgeous. I'm going to do my best to describe what it can do/how it works, but I'm confident that you'll just have to have in your own hands to truly understand it's wonderous qualities. I've posted a picture below of how the trim comes and how I've taken the end of the trim and pulled it apart, creating this metallic, almost netting-like material. It's both perplexing and stunning. I actually called my husband into my craft room when I was playing with to show him how it could be manipulated, and he couldn't help trying it out too. This item will be available in June, when the new catalog is officially released, therefore it won't be listed below with the other products, but I encourage you to pick some up, when it's available and see for yourself how amazing it truly is.
I also wanted to point out the beautiful sentiments in this set. There are a few that are in a curved form so that they can easily be used with the dies, here's the cool thing about photopolimer stamps. You can bend them and adjust them in just about any way you like. I wanted a smaller, straight sentiment, so I took my acrylic block, placed the stamp on it, and bent it so it would be in a straight line. Then I inked it in the gorgeous in-color that coordinates with the Eastern Palace Suite, Dapper Denim. Then I was ready to assemble the rest of the card.
So when I was deciding on my card base, originally I wanted it to be Whisper White. However I found it to be lacking somehow, so I went with a layer of silver glimmer paper and a Dapper Denim card base. I really think it added just the right touch. What do you think? Thanks so much for stopping by! See you next post, Peaches!
