Hey everyone and welcome to the Fancy Friday Blog Hop! I’m so happy to be a part of this fantastically talented group! If you’re new the the Fancy Friday Blog Hops, we are a group of past and current Artisans that get together each month on the last Friday of each month to bring you crafty inspiration with monthly themes and challenges. I’m so honored and excited to be a part of this talented group! Now onto this month’s focus!
This month we are challenging ourselves to CASE (copy and selectively edit) a project from either the 2019 Occasions Catalog or the Annual Catalog. I chose the to CASE one of the cards on the front cover of the Occasions Catalog that features the Dear Doily Stamp Set. This set is so elegant and gorgeous; I had so much fun creating with it. It's definitely a must-have.
Here's a look at the project I CASEd (below):
I chose this card to CASE because I love the delicate details in it's simple design. Also, I have just been in love with this stamp set, so it was a win-win.
To create the detailed texture, I decided to use the Rose Trellis Thinlits, but any detailed thinlits would do for this look. I went for the same tone-on-tone look. Then for my main focal piece, I used Soft Sea Foam Ink and Coastal Cabana Ink to stamp my floral images. I used my Starburst Punch to punch a piece of Vellum to ground my floral image and sentiment. Then I added some Gold Metallic Thread and my White Baker's Twine and main focal piece. Lately, combining cool colors with a bit of gold has been a favorite combo of mine. To finish it off, I added a few Rhinestones.
I have been enjoying using my Frost White Shimmer Paint and Aqua Painter to flick on a few splatters of shimmer. It's a bit hard to capture on film, but so pretty in person, like pearly splatters. Here's a close-up of that:
I also made a tiny version of my card for my daughter's lunchbox (below):
I hope You have enjoyed my card for today and don't forget to keep hopping for more inspiration. Up next on the hop is my incredibly talented friend, Charlet Mallett.
Thanks so much for stopping by and I'll see you next post!
