the stamp review crew
Hello Peaches! I'm here to participate in another fun blog hop with The Stamp Review Crew! If you're not familiar with The Stamp Review Crew , they are a group of very talented international Stampin' Up! demonstrators who get together on the first and third Monday of each month to bring you all kinds of delicious inspiration that features a different stamp set each new Monday.

The blog hops are archived at The Stamp Review Crew blog and you'll be able to click through the hops at any time, going directly to the posts as you wish for any of the hops. Just click on the banner of this post to go to the master blog roll for this hop also. If you have already started the hop, you will have come from the lovely and creative Lou Kitzelman.

Fabulous Flamingo Photopolymer Stamp Set

For this hop, we are featuring the Fabulous Flamingo Stamp Set. I have made quite a few cards and projects with this stamps set. It's just too cute!

I wanted a fun embossed textured background so I used the Tropical Thinlits Dies to die cut some leaves to create a stencil I could use to add Embossing Paste

Here's a close-up of the embossing:

I also wanted to have my two flamingos facing each other so I just used the mirror image technique. Here's how you do it:

  1. Ink up your image in Flirty Flamingo Ink and stamp it onto your Silicone Mat, making sure to stamp steadily without wiggling it or it will smear.
  2. Take your cardstock and place it down over the stamped area of your mat and rub over the cardstock to insure that the image transfers to the cardstock.
  3. Lift the cardstock and you should have a mirror image of your stamp.

Super simple, right?
Here's a close-up of my card for today's hop:

Well, that's my card for today's hop! Thanks so much for hopping along! Your next stop is my lovely and talented crafty friend Holly Krautkremer! Check out her gorgeous blog and projects!
