Hey peaches and thanks for joining me for another fun TGIF challenge this week! If you're new to the TGIF Challenges, each Friday, we offer a new themed challenge for you to play along with. Be sure to check out the main blog for more details, inspiration, and the guidelines. This week's challenge is a sketch challenge and I absolutely love it!
My card for this week's challenge was made using a few items that are available in the new Mini Catalog. I used the gorgeous new Seriously The Best Stamp Set and the coordinating Seriously The Best Project Kit. This set is just jaw dropping beautiful and I was so inspired that I made an alternative, using elements from the kit. Here's my submission:
The kit included some stunning patterned Vellum that I wasn't willing to part with in order to use on my alternative so I created my own. I used a few patterned and flower images in the coordinating colors to stamp on the vellum (Pretty Peacock Ink, Terracotta Tile Ink, and Mango Melody Ink), being very careful not to smear the freshly stamped images as ink can take longer to dry on vellum. When I was done stamping, I used Clear Embossing Powder over the wet ink and heat set the images. This allowed the images' colors to still show through, but I didn't have to worry about them smearing as I assembled my card. Below is an image of the patterned vellum I created and embossed:
