The Stamp Review Crew - Butterfly Gala

the stamp review crew
Hello Peaches! I'm here to participate in another fun blog hop with The Stamp Review Crew! If you're not familiar with The Stamp Review Crew, they are a group of very talented international Stampin' Up! demonstrators who get together on the first and third Monday of each month to bring you all kinds of delicious inspiration that features a different stamp set each new Monday.

The blog hops are archived at The Stamp Review Crew blog and you'll be able to click through the hops at any time, going directly to the posts as you wish for any of the hops. Just click on the banner of this post to go to the master blog roll for this hop also. If you have already started the hop, you will have come from the amazingly creative Tanya Boser.

Butterfly Gala Photopolymer Bundle

For this hop, we are featuring the Butterfly Gala Stamp Set. Now the Butterfly Duet Punch is currently out of stock but the butterflies are quite easy to fussy cut and the Butterfly Beauty Thinlits Dies are a great way to add additional dimension and texture. I have made quite a few cards and projects already with this stamps set and just can't stop myself. It's just too cute!

I wanted to start my card off by embossing the first panel with the Subtle Embossing Folder

Here's a close-up of the embossing:

I also used the Stitched Rectangle Dies to create a frame  Here's how you do it:
  1. Take one of the Stitched Rectangle Dies and die cut a piece of cardstock.
  2. Because the dies are designed to create stitching on both the cut piece as well as the negative cut, you will have a stitched rectangle cut left behind.
  3. Take the negative stitched rectangle and cut around the stitches, leaving about 1/4" border and you will have your rectangle frame.
Super simple, right?

Well, that's my card for today's hop! Thanks so much for hopping along! Your next stop is the talented Cindy Elam! Check out her gorgeous blog and projects!

Thanks so much for stopping by and I'll see you next post!
