Well Said Dear Doily - Stampin' Up Artisan Blog Hop

Well, hello peaches! Welcome to the Well Said Dear Doily Stampin' Up! Artisan Design Team Blog Hop! Each month our very talented and creative team of designers will be bringing you inspiration, so get comfortable and have a ton of fun hopping along with us. You may have just arrived from the wonderfully talented Kaylee Van Es' Blog. I just LOVE what she has created!

Today, I will be showcasing the Well Said Bundle but this hop showcases the Dear Doily Bundle as well, so continue to hop along to see both sets gorgeously represented. What I love about this set is that it offers so much!  There are 51 stamps and 24 dies! Additionally, the dies are comprised of word die as well as beautiful flora and fauna images.

Well Said Cling Bundle    Dear Doily Cling Bundle

I wanted a subtle background with repeated sentiments so that the person who receives this card will know just how special they are. I used one of the stamps from the Well Said Set and stamped it in Smokey Slate Ink. I used second generation and third generation stamping which just means that I stamped off first and then onto my background repeatedly. You can see the soft effect in the photo below.

I used Pacific Point In and, Bermuda Bay Ink to add some soft color to my floral element. It's supper easy to do and creates a lovely soft ombre look.

Here's how you do it:

  1. Die cut your floral image from Whisper White Cardstock.
  2. Use your Sponge Dauber in Pacific Point Ink and first dab a scratch paper to prevent harsh lines/tones.
  3. Then just daub the color softly on about a third of the way up the floral image.
  4. Continue with Bermuda Bay in the middle section, daubing the color lighter and lighter as you reach the top of the image until the color looks as if it disappears.
Add a little bling to the image to accent the blue tones with a few sequins from the Iridescent Sequin Assortment. To finish off this card and add my sentiment, I used my Silver Foil Sheet to die cut word "happy" and stamped "Mother's Day" in Versamark Ink and then embossed it in Silver Embossing Powder.

These products were so fun and inspiring and I know I'll definitely be using them again. I hope you have enjoyed all of today's cards and designs (full list of supplies below). Keep hopping along and check out my other fellow teammates’ pages. They have some pretty amazing projects to share. I’ve listed them, along with all products used below or you can just click the link below to hop to the fabulously creative Maike Beimler
