All Is Bright - Stampin' Up Artisan Blog Hop

All Is Bright

Well, hello peaches! Welcome to the All Is Bright Stampin' Up! Artisan Design Team Blog Hop! Each month our very talented and creative team of designers will be bringing you inspiration, so get comfortable and have a ton of fun hopping along with us. You may have just arrived from the wonderfully talented Kim McGillis' Blog. I just adore her style!

Today, I will be showcasing both the Making Christmas Bright Bundle and the Merry Christmas to All Bundle which are both part of the All Is Bright Suite. This suite is what I like to call a mega suite. It's packed with not one but two stamp bundles, stunning coordinating paper, and absolutely gorgeous accessories that pair perfectly together! This entire suite was at the top of my shopping list!

For today's projects, I created a matching card set. For my first card, I began with a panel of patterned paper from the coordinating All Is Bright Designer Series Paper (DSP). I chose the white with polka dots pattern because I thought it played well with the bulbs I had stamped and didn't take the focus away from them or the main sentiment. The bulbs were stamped in Call Me Clover Ink, Shaded Spruce Ink, Real Red Ink, and the silver ones were done in Versamark and Silver Embossing Powder. I stamped and punched a TON of these bulbs so quickly and easily that I had plenty left over, so you'll see them in my other cards that I have included today.

For the next card I began by stamping one of the sentiments in Clover Ink onto Call Me Clover Cardstock. This is such a simple way to create a lot of interest on your projects. I also used Lemon Lime Twist Ink to stamp a few bulbs as well as my star background. Then I created a string of lights for my card. If you love the look of these cute little strings of lights on these cards, here's how you can do it too:

  1. Stamp and punch out your bulbs and cut a long strand of Whisper White Baker's Twine
  2. Arrange the twine how you like it over your elements, adjusting where needed. I like to add a few loops for a more whimsical look.
  3. Lift various areas (including under the twine) and add Multipurpose Liquid Glue underneath to secure your string and elements.
  4. Allow this to dry and finish your card by adding your sentiment.

To finish this one off, I added a few Red Rhinestone Jewels.

For my third card, I kind of went all out with my layering and texture. I used the little star die from the Cauldron Bubble Dies Set to create a star patterned mask. I then used the mask along with some Embossing Paste to create a festive textured star background. I didn't have any green colored embellishments so I just took a few Rhinestone Basic Jewels and colored then green with my Call Me Clover Blends.

For my final card I tried to keep it simple. I first stamped the string of lights in Shaded Spruce Ink and then used my Stampin' Write Markers to color the bulbs. To finish it off, I die cut the "Christmas" word out in Real Red Cardstock and added the "Merry" part of the sentiment. I added a few more Red Rhinestones and that finished off my last card!

Here's a close-up of my cards:
