the stamp review crew
Hello Peaches! I'm here to participate in another fun blog hop with The Stamp Review Crew! If you're not familiar with The Stamp Review Crew , they are a group of very talented international Stampin' Up! demonstrators who get together on the first and third Monday of each month to bring you all kinds of delicious inspiration that features a different stamp set each new Monday.

The blog hops are archived at The Stamp Review Crew blog and you'll be able to click through the hops at any time, going directly to the posts as you wish for any of the hops. Just click on the banner of this post to go to the master blog roll for this hop also. If you have already started the hop, you will have come from the lovely and creative Cindy Elam.

For this hop, we are featuring the Incredible Like You Stamp Set. I have made a lovely Mother's Day card with this stamp set. It's really so beautiful and versatile!

I wanted a fun embossed textured background so I used one of the Delightfully Detailed Laser-Cut Specialty Paper pieces to create a stencil I could use to add Embossing Paste

Here's a close-up of the embossing:

I also wanted my flower to have a bit of dimension so I stamped a few flowers in Flirty Flamingo Ink and cut away some of the petals to layer onto my main flower image with Dimensionals. I just love the look! I used one of my newest favorite die from the Everything Is Rosy Set to add some delicate leaves to finish it off.

Well, that's my card for today's hop! Thanks so much for hopping along! Your next stop is my lovely and talented crafty friend Tanya Boser! Check out her gorgeous blog and projects!

Thanks so much for stopping by and I'll see you next post!

Everything Is Rosy Album - Stampin' Up Artisan Design Team Corporate Blog Post

Everything Is Rosy Memory Album

Hello, everyone! My name is Lauren Alarid. I’m a Stampin’ Up! demonstrator in California and 2019 Artisan Design Team member, and I am so happy to be sharing my creativity on the company blog. Today I wanted to share with you how I created this “Everything Is Rosy” memory album. It features the new Everything Is Rosy Medley Kit (150059). This ridiculously gorgeous kit took my breath away from the moment I first saw it. From the perfectly coordinated items, to the drool-worthy double-sided Designer Series Paper (DSP), I was completely inspired! And let’s not forget about the brand-new Rose Gold Shimmer Paint! I just can’t stop making pretty things with it!

Now because this kit is packed with SO many goodies (It’s basically a “suite-in-a-box”), I knew that I would have plenty of product to work with to create an entire album (and then some). Here's a look at the kit in case you missed it in my previous hop:

In today’s project, I have created a mini 6” x 6” album that is so simple and so fun to make.
To build the basic structure of your album, you will need 12” x 12” Whisper White Cardstock (124302). Here are the steps:
1.   You will cut this paper directly in half so that you will now have two 6” x 12” pieces.
2.   Repeat this step until you have as many pages as you’d like in your album.
3.   Score each cut sheet in the middle at 6”.
4.   Adhere one side of your scored sheet to the side of another scored 6” x 12” cut piece. Repeat this step until you have adhered all the sheets together. When you are done, it should look like a book.
5.   Next, take a piece of chip board or cardboard (I use the ones that come with my DSP packs) and cut two pieces that measure 6” x 6”.
6.   Lastly, adhere the first page of your 6” x 12” cut page pieces to one side of the cut cardboard and then adhere the last page to the other piece of cut cardboard.

Next you will need to create the binding. The first step is to choose one of the patterns from the 6 x 6 DSP and cut it at 6” x 4”. Then adhere it to the front and back edges of your cardboard cover pages evenly. Take either another piece of coordinating DSP or coordinating cardstock (I chose Melon Mambo Cardstock (115320) for the front and for the back I chose the piece of DSP with navy and gold foil leaves) to cover the rest of your album front and back. I used the Corrugated Dynamic Textured Impressions Embossing Folder (148026) to emboss the Melon Mambo Cardstock for added texture. Where the binding and cover pieces met, I used the beautiful coordinating ribbons from this kit. One is a lovely Night of Navy with rose gold metallic trim and the other is a Melon Mambo Ruched Ribbon.

For the inside pages I mixed and matched the DSP with coordinating cardstock, and used a the fun printed floral and the rose gold die cuts that come in the kit to embellish my pages. I included a few word die cuts in Night of Navy (100867) and Melon Mambo Cardstock from the Well Written Framelits (148534) as well. Other than the word dies, cardboard, and some ink pads, everything I used to create this album came from the kit. Here’s a look at a few of the page spreads (below):

I also added a few extra details to my pages for more interest. I stamped a few flowers in Powder Pink Ink (147147), dabbed on Melon Mambo Ink (147051) around the edges or center of my flowers with my Sponge Dauber (133773), and layered them throughout my album. To get a fun speckled look with the Rose Gold Shimmer Paint, I took a toothpick and cut off the tip to give it a blunt end. Then I shook my shimmer paint up well and dipped the blunt end of my toothpick into the lid to pick up some paint. Then I just dabbed on a few dots here and there as accents.

I hope that you have enjoyed this handmade memory album. I truly had so much fun putting it together and the perfect coordination of this kit made choosing paper, elements, and accents to adorn it a no-brainer. The best part was that after creating this entire album, I had tons of product left over! You will definitely want to get your hands on this kit while you can! It’s to die for!

Our creative team of designers are bringing you inspiration and a close-up of all of the new goodies in this medley, so get comfortable and have a ton of fun hopping along with us to just how versatile this set truly is! You may have just arrived from the wonderfully talented Kaylee Van Es' Blog. I just LOVE what she has created!

Here's a look at everything you get in the Everything I s Rosy Product Medley Collection (150059):

Here's a detailed list of everything included:
  • Everything Is Rosy Photopolymer Stamp Set—18 stamps; suggested blocks: a, b, c,
  • Everything Is Rosy Dies—10 dies; largest die 2-7/8" x 1" (7.3 x 2.5 cm)
  • 6" x 6" (15.2 x 15.2 CM) Designer Series Paper Stack—48 sheets; 8 each of 6 double-sided designs
  • 6" x 6" (15.2 x 15.2 CM) rose gold foil paper—8 sheets
  • Printed die cuts—2 sheets
  • Rose gold die cuts—4 sheets; 2 each of 2 designs
  • Rose gold adhesive backed mirror embellishments—60 embellishments; 1/4" (6.4 mm)
  • Melon Mambo 1/4" (6.4 mm) Ruched Ribbon—10 yards (9.1 m)
  • Night of Navy/Rose Gold 3/8" (1 cm) Metallic –Edge Ribbon—10 yards (9.1 m)
  • Rose Gold Shimmer Paint—1/2 oz. (15 ml)

I think it's important to mention that this kit does not come with and inks or cardstock so you may want to grab some to use with this set. The coordinating colors of this medley are Melon Mambo, Night of Navy, and rose gold.

The stamp set is absolutely stunning too:

Don't you just adore those gorgeous flower and leaf images?! And the dies that coordinate with this set just add to it's appeal! Not only do they cut out all of the images in this set, making it so easy to add tons of layers and details, (perfect for the avid crafter) but there are additional dies like the gorgeous filigree leaves that offer the perfect delicate touch to your projects. You can see how beautifully both the images and die cuts layer together in my card below:

I had so much fun creating many different color combos for my two-toned flowers, but my favorite combo has been the Melon Mambo and Petal Pink one that coordinates well with this kit. To get the lovely two-toned effect of these flowers, it's quite simple. First ink up your image in the softer ink color (in this case Petal Pink Ink). Next, ink up a Sponge Dauber in the darker tone (Melon Mambo Ink) and dab it onto the centers or edges of your flowers, and you will have some lovely two-toned flowers. I used the same technique on my leaves in Balmy Blue Ink and Night of Navy Ink.

I also wanted to add a few rose gold dimensional dots in the center of my flowers. I just love how they pop right off the centers and add so much dimension. Creating these with the Rose Gold Paint is fun and easy.

Here's how you do it:
  1. First take a toothpick and cut off the point end so that you have a blunt end.
  2. Next, dip the blunt end of your toothpick into the Rose Gold Shimmer Paint and touch it to the center of your flower.
  3. Repeat step #2 until you have about five or six dots in the center of your flower.
  4. Lastly. use your Heat Tool to heat the paint dots until they bubble a bit. Allow them to dry and you will have dimensional paint dots.
Here's a close-up of the centers and the beautiful effect:

Here's a close-up of my first card, along with a bonus card that's packed with layers of imagery:
