Stampin’ Up! Dies have so many versatile uses that go
beyond cutting paper, and I have a great one to share today! It’s quite easy
and a great way to add texture and interest to your projects. For my project today I am using the To A Wild Rose Bundle which has the gorgeous Wild Rose Dies that I will use for my dry embossing technique.
Simply create your die cutting machine sandwich just as you would to emboss, only with one slight difference. First start with your cutting platform on the bottom. Next, add your cutting pad on top of your platform. Then add your Silicone Craft Sheet on top of the cutting pad. Add your cardstock, with the die placed in position, on top of that. And finally, top it all off with your second cutting pad and run it through your die cutting machine.
Depending on your machine’s configuration, you can also add additional shims to achieve more depth and definition. You are left with your own unique embossed design that is to die for (pun intended)! Here's a close up of the embossing:
