Spooky Cat With The Stamp Review Crew

Hello everyone! How is everyone's week going so far? Today is pretty special because this is my first time participating in a blog hop-EVER! It's a pretty big deal for me because honestly a year ago I would have been too intimidated to try it. I'm so happy to be able to feel confident enough to try new things. And what a great team to join! If you're not familiar with The Stamp Review Crew , they are a group of very talented international Stampin' Up! demonstrators who get together on the first and third Monday of each month to bring you all kinds of delicious inspiration that features a different stamp set each new Monday.

The blog hops are archived at The Stamp Review Crew blog and you'll be able to click through the hops at any time, going directly to the posts as you wish for any of the hops. Just click on the banner of this post to go to the master blog roll for this hop also. If you have already started the hop, you will have come from the lovely and creative Lou Kitzelman’s page.

Today we are reviewing the Spooky Cat stamp set. I absolutely love this set! There are so many great possibilities with this set from classroom treats, to gifts, to party invites. For my projects, I made a tag for a treat jar, along with a matching mini card. I just love using the color combo of Bermuda Bay, Berry Burst, and Lemon Lime Twist together for Halloween projects. I created an ombré sentiment using the Cupcake Cutouts Framelits Dies and inking part of the word in Lemon Lime Twist and the other half in Bermuda Bay.

Did you notice the adorable little witch's broom on the card and jar? I just cut a strip of wood grain paper from the Wood Textures Designer Series Paper (DSP), cut it on a curve at one end and added some short pieces cut from the Burlap Ribbon. See picture below.

Well, that's my projects for today's hop! Thanks so much for hopping along! Next stop is the very talented Stesha Bloodhart! Check out her lovely blog and project!

  3. Lauren, these are adorable! I, too, have been loving bright colors this Halloween. (I do not know how I will live without Lemon Lime Twist. I want to keep it forever.) I love your projects and the way you incorporated "Sweet" is so clever!

    1. Thanks Natalie! I know! I’m right with you; I’m going to be so sad when Lemon Lime Twist retires. I gotta use it while I can, lol.
