Stampin' Up! Hello Floral Watercolor Card

Hey sweet Peaches! I have a really fun card for you today! This one was inspired by all of the gorgeous spring flowers that are in bloom this season. The colors are so vibrant and beautiful that I felt inspired to create something just as stunning. Well, at least I hope you agree, lol.
For this card, I chose some bright, spring-y colors to color my floral embellishments. I die cut the large floral cluster from Stampin' Up!'s Flourishing Phrases set and dies from watercolor paper. I took my inks and, using my aqua painter, gently added color onto my die cut piece. I really liked the look of the watercolor but felt I need a bit more, so I stamped, white heat embossed and then die cut some flowers from the Jar of Love bundle. I added a little Melon Mambo and Rich Razzleberry to these flowers, just to bring in some more bright color. You could also use the amazing new watercolor pencils to achieve a stunning watercolor effect (I'll list them below). Lastly, I die cut the work "hello" from gold foil paper and the card was finished! Thanks so much for stopping deals are going on right now.

Stampin' Up! Cool Treats Card with Matching Lunchbox Card

Hey Peaches! I guess you could say I'm on an ice cream kick, lol! I can't help it! This whole sweet of projects is sooooo yummy, and many of the accessories and paper are retiring soon, so, of course, I HAVE to make as many fun projects as I can with them!

Many of you who follow me know how much I love to make smaller, "Lunchbox" version of many of my cards. I include a special hand made note each day in my daughter's lunch and I figure, "why reinvent the wheels, right?!" So I take the original design of each card and make a smaller, more compact version. If you're interested in seeing some others I have made, check out some my past blog posts. For this one, you guessed it; I used the Cool Treats bundle by Stampin' Up! I also used a really fun textured embossing folder! It's called the dynamic textured impressions hexagon folder. I just LOVE the stunning texture and effect it creates. Instant wow factor added, with little effort! Now to clarify, the "bundled price" is retiring, along with the coordinating accessories and paper from the suite. Stampin' Up! Dragonfly Dreams #GDP083

 Hey Peaches! I hope you all had a wonderful Easter! I had quite a busy weekend full of family fun and memories. Today I decided to participate for the first time in The Global Design Project #GDP083 theme challenge. This weeks theme is "sparkles/bling".

My project for the theme challenge is loaded with bling. To be honest, I'm pretty sure there can never be enough bling on my card, lol! I chose the gorgeous "Dragonfly Dreams" set for my project. I first heat embossed some gold on to the background, using one the beautiful stamps from this set. Then I watercolored a background, using Elegant Eggplant and Melon Mambo inks, with an aqua painter. The key with this technique is to start light and keep adding layers of color until you are happy with the results. Next, I added a small layer of velum to one side of the card and added some Elegant Eggplant bakers twine. I also die cut some dragonflies, using the coordinating thinlits and added some gold metallic twine behind them. I gold heat embossed my sentiment and added some gold glimmer paper for an accent and finished it off by adding some gold metallic enamel dots to the background. Thanks so much for stopping by!
