Stampin' Up! Baby Shower Projects

I've been super excited for my sister's upcoming baby shower! I wasn't able to be involved in the last one due to my chronic illness, so this time I asked to host it. She's one of those amazing people who does so much for those around her out of the purest love of her heart, and deserves to be spoiled rotten! She's having a boy, but we thought we'd go a little untraditional and make the theme all about pampering her. I mean, she is doing all the work, growing this tiny human (whom I already love to pieces, though we've not even officially met yet). So we went with a "Tiffany's" theme. So I have a few projects to share with you.

The first project is a banner with the mother's last name. She hasn't decided on a name for baby yet, so I just went with their last name. I used various paper including Stampin' Up!'s Bermuda Bay cardstock, Neutrals DSP, Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer paper, Basic Black cardstock (for the letters and baby themed shapes), and the gorgeous glimmer paper that was a free item you could get for purchasing $50+ in product during 2017 Sale-a-bration. Unfortunately, this item has been very popular and has sold out. The last thing I added was some Bermuda Bay bakers twine and, of course, some bling, using the Rhinestones Basic Jewels, because this IS a "Tiffany's" themed shower!

Next, I wanted to give my sister a tin to keep all of her cards she receives or other sentimental items from the party, so I was inspired by a fellow demonstrator, Allison Okamitsu. She shared this  beautiful tin that she decorated for one of her card retreats. I used the free card tin, also available for free during Sale-a-bration on qualifying orders. The problem was that is was gold and I needed something that matched with our theme, so I used some Pool Party cardstock and DSP to customize it. I think it turned out pretty cute.

The last project I have to share is the thank you cards. Being a card maker means I get to share my gifts with others. I wanted my sister to be able to sent "thank you's" out with ease, so along with getting preaddrssed envelopes, I decided to make some thank you cards for her to use to send out. I made it a simple design, but I really like how the simplicity lends itself to allowing the main focus to shine. I watercolored the background, using Bermuda Bay ink and matted it with Basic Black and Thick Whisper White as the base. I stamped the thank you in Basic Black ink, using yet another amazing free item from the Sale-a-bration catalog-"So Very Much".

Stampin' Up! Basket Bunch Easter Lunchbox Note Cards

So since my daughter started kindergarten this year, ive made her a little 3x3 lunch box note/card every single day. It's been quite the challenge some days, but she really looks forward to them. I'm saving each one, partially because they took so much work, making each one, but mostly because I think they'll be something special that she can enjoy years later, when she looks back at her kindergarten year.

What I do typically is that each time I design a card, I try to think of a way to make a more compact, smaller 3x3 version for her lunch. This plan has worked well and I've also don't the reverse, where I design her lunch note and make a larger version of it. It's a been a fun, creative challenge for me and I feel like I'm accomplishing more by "recycling" the basic card designs.

I've made a few for the upcoming Easter holiday, and I think they turned out pretty cute. The Basket Bunch bundle by stampin' Up! is perfect for her lunch note cards, with its adorable and numerous smaller images.

Stampin' Up Basket Bunch Easter Card

Hey Peaches! I just wanted to drop in to share a fun Easter card with you. It's always fun to try new techniques or test out different ideas. I've always loved the look of layering with white on white. It creates a striking effect and allows your focal point to really stand out. I die cut numerous baskets, using the basket die from the basket builder dies that coordinate with the Basket Bunch stamp set, and adhered them onto Whisper White cardstock. This set is perfect for Easter cards and any Spring themed cards. I really love how this card turned out! Thanks so much for stopping by!
